ISABELLA

Isabella is our first 100% European pedigree. We bred her mother, our first import from England,  to a gorgeous Danish male. We imported frozen semen and the breeding was done while we were living in Puerto Rico. She is a very playful, biddable, people and food oriented ( of course) dog.  She is very enthusiastic and has a wonderful attitude of showing off at the dog shows. She has travelled with us for work to different countries and has been in Uruguay and Argentina where she competed in an International FCI show, Americas and Caribbean Dog show, where she won the breed all four days and won a group first.  

In 2014, when we moved to the USA and began showing her at dog shows, several people would ask what kind of dog she was. It was very uncommon to see an English bred dog in the country and even less common to she an undocked English Springer Spaniel in the show ring. Despite her different look, Isabella  went on to win BOB several times. In 2015, she won BOS  at the Eastern English Springer Spaniel Club,  the second-largest specialty show in the USA. That same year, she also won BOG 3 at the New England Sporting Group Association, the first in the history of these two clubs to win with an owner-handled, imported, undocked English bred ESS. We finished her championship in four months, setting the record as the first imported English bred ESS to finish in the USA with an owner-handler. In 2016, she won BOS at the Westminster Kennel Club, a historic win as, yet again, she was the first imported, undocked, and ‘ticked’ ESS in the history of this club to achieve this. In 2023, she won Best Veteran in Show at the Chattahoochee English Springer Spaniel Club of Georgia, at 10 years old. She still runs around like a pup and we are very grateful for the amazing offspring that she produced for us, who have been so important in our breeding program. Isabella is a very healthy dog who visits the veterinarian once a year to have her physical and vaccination. This is the kind of dog that we are proud to breed and own.
